Here’s what our Spring 208 Smithsonian-Mason Semester Students are doing:

Kristen Culp is working at Fossil Rim Wildlife Center in Glen Rose, Texas

Jimmy Munse completed an internship with Walt Disney's Animal Kingdom and has been accepted into Mason’s Master of Public Administration program.

Marc Taylor was an intern assisting with an ongoing project studying the reproductive biology and endocrinology (study of reproductive hormones) of African Lions (Panthera leo) from the National Zoo and other facilities across the United States at the CRC Endocrine Lab with Dr. Janine Brown. He is currently pursuing a long term internship with the Smithsonian Museum's Asian Cultural History Program, working on a biodiversity survey for the Gobustan Reserve in Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey (Middle East) working with Dr. Paul Taylor, Dept. of Anthropology.

Kristen Thoms was an intern for the CRC Endocrine Lab for Clouded Leopard studies under Bernardo Mesa and JoGayle Howard. She did field work for the Smithsonian Shenendoah Salamander Research Project for Jenn Sevin and completed Sierra Student Coalition-Sprog Environmental Leadership Training. She is currently interning in Mason's Office of Sustainability. She also has plans to pursue graduate study.

Michelle Waterman completed an internship at US Fish and Wildlife Service, OCEANA (www.oceana.org), and will pursue a MS from York University
